FEES

  • Commercial organisation  - $88 (single site)

  • Commercial organisation - $176 (double site)

  • Non-profit organisation - $55 (per site) - must be a registered charity

  • Commercial organisation POWER - $150 (single site)

  • Commercial organisation POWER - $300 (double site)

    • Do not pay for a power site unless you have been offered one. We have 6 powered sites, and all have been allocated.

CONFIRMATION AND REFUNDS

  • Sites will not confirmed until you have submitted Application Form, Public Liability and Payment.

  • Notification of non-attendance is required. No refunds will be given for non-attendance.

  • Hurstbridge Wattle Festival accepts no responsibility for adverse weather and no refunds will be given for this reason.

SITE INFORMATION

  • One site is approximately 3m x 3m.

  • Most sites have NO POWER and GENERATORS ARE NOT PERMITTED in the interest of noise reduction and pollution.

  • The selection of stalls and allocation of sites is solely at the discretion of Hurstbridge Wattle Festival.

  • Preference is given to: local vendors from the Nillumbik area, vendors that don't compete with existing Hurstbridge traders, high quality-low plastic products and environmentally friendly set ups.

  • The decision of the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • HURSTBRIDGE TOWNSHIP IS A PLASTIC CARRY BAG FREE TOWN so we ask for your co-operation in not handing out plastic bags. If you are observed using plastic bags, you will be warned, and will not be able to return for future festivals.

INSURANCE

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

  • Stalls must be fully erected and all cars off the site by 9:00am. 

  • Cars are not able to be parked next to stalls.

  • Parking is available at Hurstbridge Medical Centre. THERE IS NO PARKING ON SITE. Some vehicles may be approved prior to event if the vehicle is part of the stall.

  • Stall holders must attend on-site for duration of the event.  

  • Stalls must not pack up before 4:00pm. Vehicles will NOT be allowed to access or leave market area prior to 4:00pm, no matter the weather.

  • Stalls are only to be erected in allocated positions with displays kept within the allocated space.

  • Group/company/trading name should be clearly displayed on the actual stall

  • The Hurstbridge Wattle Festival and the market coordinator reserves the right to request immediate cessation of all activities by groups and/or any activities that can be reasonably perceived as offensive, discriminatory, damaging to the environment, defamatory or do not comply with those listed and approved as per the prescribed application.

  • All Rubbish must be removed from the site by the stallholder. Rubbish collection fees apply if you do not take your rubbish.

FOOD/ALCOHOL TRADERS

  • All food stalls must have a Statement of Trade to show to Nillumbik Shire Council.

  • This can be obtained online at https://foodtrader.vic.gov.au/

  • All food stalls should be under cover and comply with Nillumbik Shire Council food and safety standards.
    Multiple inspections will be conducted by the Council Food Inspector during the day.

  • Generators are not permitted.

  • All food packaging must be able to be recycled - NO polystyrene and NO wax paper or wax cups.

  • Hurstbridge is a dry zone. You will need to obtain your own Liquor License to serve alcohol at the festival. 

WASTE/RUBBISH

  • The Hurstbridge Wattle Festival is a WASTE WISE event.

  • Recycling stations, consisting of 3 x 240 litre wheelie bins are located around the township and stall areas for public use ONLY. These are monitored and emptied regularly. These are NOT for general use by stall holders.

  • Box waste/packaging: stall holders are required to flatten and store until after the event. Provision for recycling will be available after 4pm.

  • Bulk food/cooking wastes: stall holders are required to store and take away these wastes. Waste shall be stored to deter flies and wasps (e.g. sealed plastic bags)

  • Clean sites: all sites and surrounds must be kept clean during the day and left fully clean at the end of the day.
